10 Names Who Could Have Been ..

Yes, they're so famous and people has mentioned them either as pop stars up to philosophers. Well, how does the journey crave them in fame on the bench by the sake of football? I try to tribute 10 of the finest who could have been footballers, here we go ..

10: STEVE HARRIS (Iron Maiden)
He was a youth team footballer for West Ham United, and still a talented amateur football player in borrowed time. So that's why he has the logo of West Ham on his bass.

09: RICHARD ASHCROFT (Musician)
An English singer-songwriter, he was the lead singer and occasional guitarist of band The Verve. He was a promising talent at Wigan but the death of his father put him depression and stopped playing football and turned into music when he gets older.

08: KAROL JOSEF WOJTYLA (Pope John Paul II)
The young Wojtyla played soccer as a goalkeeper on the Jewish side for his home town against Catholics schools in Wadowice.

07: GORDON RAMSAY (Chef)
He spent 3 years with Rangers and played a couple of non-league matches, but a knee injury at 18 meant he had to give up football.

06: MICHAEL SCHUMACHER (F1 Driver)
He used to play football for local team FC Echichens, also a big fans for Newcastle United.

05: SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE (Writer)
Once upon a time, his role was the goalkeeper for Portsmouth FC.

04: KOBE BRYANT (Basketball)
Kobe should have been a pro soccer player in Milan until his family moved to the U.S and he gave it up. But he still loves soccer as big fans of Barcelona FC since the time of Ronaldinho up to Messi right now.

03: RAFAEL NADAL (Tennis)
His uncle is a retired pro soccer player for Mallorca, Barcelona, and the Spanish national team. When Rafa was 12, he won the European tennis titles in his age group and also played football for Mallorca at that time.

02: ALBERT CAMUS (Philosopher)
The young Camus was a good goalkeeper for Racing Universitaire Algerois, but tuberculosis dashes his hopes to be a professional footballer. His spirit keeps playing along, "All that I know most surely about morality and obligations, I owe to football".

01: ALL TO THE SINGERS ..
One of them played for Los Blancos' youth team until a car accident left him injured. And a nurse gave Iglesias a guitar to help regain his hands, so the rest was a history. Rod was the most talented footballer in his family. He became a captain of the school team, then played for Middlesex Schoolboys as centre-half before began his musical career and as an apprentice with the Brentford Football Club at the same time. How about Marley? A hurt toe while playing football in London had ended .. his life after that (hNa)

Kobe would have been a great player, though a little tall for a soccer player. He would be great in the midfield I think

Obama plays football but not a socceroos.

U must have Luciano Pavarotti at least as a Juventini, also Sean Connery for Glasgow.

When David Beckham arrived in America to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy, he feels like a mistake of calling the sport he plays "football" then said, "Excuse me, I mean soccer!"

Why he need to correct himself and apologize at the press conference where he was introduced?

"It's something I'm going to have to get use to ..", explained Beckham.

Football or soccer, what a big deal?

Football, of course, being what Americans call "Soccer". Cause they have its own game called "football" which is one of the most popular sport in the land and, it's funny, some European (especially in England) called it "Rugby". According to English language dictionaries, Soccer is a short or an acronym for association football.

Also for Italians, they are crazy about three "f" : food, fashion and football. They don't normally fight each other for food and fashion, but they will do it over football. Alas, just watch derby Milano despite of fashion city.
