The Final "YFF" Countdown

Nine perfect months fly, the final week of Yahoo Fantasy Football season is ticking the clock. Although can't wait for World Cup to start soon, I really want all big players to rest up and be at full strength to have the best possible in game. It's been a great season in general and we had a number of sides contesting the League title-race, Champions League & European Cup places.

To the top of the English Premier League is more competitive than ever. Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal in a big race will be going down to the last week, and Spurs, Man City, Liverpool, Aston Villa also Everton are all strong sides who have taken points off each other to keep their chance of securing European football spot. The breaking of the "Big Four Mob" for the first time in 5 years would give other perspective that it can still be done.

And never forget the fairytale of Fulham reaching European Cup final next week and the same like Portsmouth facing the FA Cup final despite all the turmoil. But all the stories will get their climaxes in just few hours, with everyone expecting Chelsea to walk the title at home to Wigan. Well, the importance knowing soccer is .. you'll never know this game until it’s over yet. So the impossible thing ever is only around the corner.

Back to the earth, let's look at the final day fixtures:

Arsenal -x- Fulham
Aston Villa -x- Blackburn
Bolton -x- Birmingham
Burnley -x- Tottenham
Chelsea -x- Wigan
Everton -x- Portsmouth
Hull -x- Liverpool
Man Utd -x- Stoke
West Ham -x- Man City
Wolverhampton -x- Sunderland

The big dramas with something massive to play for are Chelsea at home to Wigan, and Man Utd to host Stoke. Logically no one will miss the boat when every YFF managers will put them in the driving seat. Besides, Spurs can mathematically still get 3rd over Burnley while on the other hand Arsenal is looking terrifically good at home to drive Fulham in reserve side.

To nutshell, here comes my player picked for the final countdown with the deadline has been pushed to midday this Sunday.

Goalkeepers:
Fulop
Fabianski
Jaaskalainen

Fulop with Man City was pretty impressive and permanently on a pack. Despite Lukasz Fabianski may get an alias "Flappyhandski", still he will be chosen to face Fulham's reserves at home, so with Jussi probably the best bet.

Defenders:
Bale
Jagielka
Vidic
Terry
O'Shea
Smalling
Mancienne
Campbell
Yobo

Midfielders:
Lampard
Nani
Malouda
Arteta
Arshavin
Young
A. Johnson

Walcott
Benayoun
Rodwell

Strikers:
Drogba
Van Persie
Defoe
Rooney
Anelka
Crouch
Carew

This situation makes me go 3 - 5 - 2 formation, practically it looks so defense but I put any expensive executors around it. So good luck everyone, it's been an exciting seasons end and nice to meet you all.

My Latest Squad:

Fulop
Jagielka – Terry – Mancienne

Arshavin – Johnson – Nani – Malouda – Young
Anelka – Crouch
Enjoy the weekend (hNa)

with chelsea sit only one point in front of man utd, the blues should control their own way to be the one at top. but as you stated, both have really the biggest to play for until last minutes. which makes me 'like a fool' not having any of them, so here is my final team :

fulop.
r.johnson - terry - mancienne.
milner-malouda-mokoena-nani-whitehead.
anelka - crouch.

also with 3 - 5 - 2, nothing points left.
feeling over confident with the team, may be a bad thing. but i'm satisfy enough with three blues running with the pack.

thanks for the blog, hope to see you in next season.
